Delaware Income Tax Forms Rates & Services
2006 State of Delaware Personal Income Tax is due April 30, 2007.
If you are a full-year resident of the state you must file a tax return for 2006 if, based on your age/status, your individual gross income exceeds the amounts shown below:

Part-time residents must file Delaware taxes if:
- you had income from any source while a resident of Delaware, or
- you had income from a Delaware source while you were a non-resident of Delaware.
Volunteer Firefighter's Credit allows a credit up to $400 against the income tax liability of Delaware residents who are active firefighters, members of fire company auxiliaries and rescue squads. This credit allows for the purchase of clothing, equipment, motor fuel and other items necessary to perform their duties. All receipts to verify purchases must be kept.
To qualify for the credit you must be:
- an active volunteer firefighter
- on call to fight fires on a regular basis
- a member of a fire company auxiliary, or
- an active member of an organized rescue squad in a Delaware Volunteer Company.
