Accounting

Corporate Tax Director

Primary responsibilities include research and documentation of tax issues, corporate tax planning, preparation of U.S. federal and state returns; preparation of Canadian federal and provincial returns; review of Canadian GST/QST filings; review of sales and use tax filings; and management of tax staff.


Qualifications:
  • bachelor's degree in accounting
  • 6+ years experience in working in corporate tax or public accounting experience working with federal and state taxes
  • CPA a plus
  • strong organizational, analytical, computer and communication skills.

Financial Reporting Senior

Primary responsibilities include research and documentation of accounting issues; financial modeling; documentation of accounting and company policies; assistance with coordination of external audit; monthly reporting; and design, documentation and management of special projects.


Qualifications:
  • bachelor's degree in accounting
  • CPA
  • public accounting experience
  • financial reporting experience
  • with excellent organizational, analytical, computer and communication skills.

Internal Audit Associate

Primary responsibilities will include development, implementation and review of policies and operating procedures within our franchise network and other departments within the corporate office.


Qualifications:
  • bachelor's degree in accounting
  • CPA a plus
  • strong documentation and analytical skills with an advanced knowledge of Excel

Operations

AD Operations Support

The AD Operations Department provides operational support, training and guidance to Area Developers in the field. This position is responsible for partnering with 15-20 Area Developers to assist them in all areas relating to the Liberty operating system. Candidates must be highly motivated and results oriented. To be successful you must have strong organizational, computer, and communication skills. Tax office and or support experience is preferred.

District Manager

Manages district offices by providing leadership and direction through hiring, training, evaluating and supervising district associates. Develop a winning team atmosphere while ensuring associates comply with the high standards set by company policy and procedures through effective leadership and direction.


    Responsibilities:
  • Lead the operation and management of the district to ensure the highest level of customer service
  • Complete management reports in a timely manner and develop, implement and manage strategies to increase revenue and control expenses
  • Recruit, interview, employ, train and motivate seasonal and off-season associates through our proven training methods
  • Schedule, monitor and control payroll hours for office personnel as well as review job performance in a timely manner. Responsible for recruiting and hiring office personnel as well as disciplining and discharging appropriately
  • Provide continuing and upper level training for tax professionals by scheduling and managing multiple tax school classes. Recruit and assign instructors as well as instruct classes when needed
  • Execute successful marketing and branding promotions

   Requirements:
  • Strong marketing, communication and written skills a must with proven ability to organize multiple tasks
  • Ability to manage in a high-energy team environment with irregular work schedules
  • Demonstrate effective problem solving and analytical skills
  • Professional customer relations skills
  • Three to five years management experience in the tax industry preferred

Technology

Database Administrators

Our DBA/BI team is looking for strong SQL Server DBAs to work in our business application and data warehouse environments. BS and 3 years of SQL Server experience required. SQL Report Writer skills a plus.

Software Developers

Responsibilities include developing and updating software for tax law changes using a defined development methodology. Qualifications include BS in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field, and two years experience in system analysis, design and/or programming. Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team are key requirements.

Senior Project Manager

Seeking a highly organized and motivated individual with both business analysis and project management skills. The individual must possess strong written and verbal communication skills and solid analytic, problem solving capabilities. This position is responsible for business analysis, and creating & executing project plans in a matrix oriented environment.

    Responsibilities:

  • Working with business users to determine the scope and requirements of a project.
  • Translate user requirements into clearly defined tasks to be used by both the development staff and Quality Assurance.
  • Use of SDLC processes and practices.
  • Regularly work with project stakeholders to effectively adjust and set priorities to meet deadlines.
  • Quickly identify and frame risks and issues, and ensure their timely resolution or escalation.
  • Effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse stakeholders regarding project deliverables, including managing expectations, presenting, and interfacing with sponsors, project teams, senior management and executives.
  • Regularly report progress to project stakeholders.

    Requirements:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience (6 - 9+ years) managing mid-size software development and business process projects.
  • SQL Query Experience with techniques for managing multi-project environments including shared resource groups.
  • Knowledge of various SDLC(s) preferred.
  • Past or current PMP, ITIL or Six Sigma certification is a plus.

Senior Software Engineer

Seeking highly motivated Senior Software Engineers. Responsibilities include developing and updating software to support online tax preparation. Experience in C#, ASP.Net, large-scale website development, object-oriented programming, design patterns, and large back-end databases. Qualifications include a minimum of a bachelor's degree in computer science and 8+ years experience in large software development teams. Strong communication skills, ability to work in a team, and ability to lead a technology team are key requirements.

State Developer

Seeking highly motivated software engineers. Responsibilities include developing and updating software to support online tax preparation. Experience in Visual Basic 6, classic ASP, website development, and back-end databases. Qualifications include a bachlor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field, and three to five years experience in system analysis, design and/or programming in medium size teams. Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team are key requirements.

Web Developer Full Time Position

We are seeking qualified web developers for the corporate technology division. Application requirements are the following:

  • Proficient in ASP.NET, C#, VB.Net, HTML, XML, XSLT
  • Experienced with SQL, MS SQL Server Management Studio
  • At least 3-5 years of experience developing Object Oriented web applications
  • Preferred experience with classic ASP, VB6, SharePoint, Web Parts, InfoPath Forms
  • Great attitude, detail oriented, self motivated and organized
