1042 Pounds of Food!

At my Liberty Tax location I know that hundreds of people go hungry everyday because it is a lower income area, so I decided do a food drive with the 2nd Harvest Food Bank. I made a huge goal of collecting 1040 pounds of food. When I made the goal I thought it was a huge number, but as time went on the amount of food we received was amazing! We had so much food in our office, people starting asking if they could have some because they needed food. When I heard this I told my employees if anyone said this they could go next store and buy some food. I called the 2nd Harvest Food Bank and told them that we needed a pick up and they came with a small truck and realized that they had to bring a larger truck to pick it up. They were amazed! When they weighed the collection, we had collected 1042 pounds of food! I know we made a difference in Apopka!
