Helping Amy

As a new "Zee", I've run into the typical situation of needing to have more wavers than you think you need. Then there is Amy Neubauer. Amy came to my office just as tax season was opening looking for a waver position; she mentioned she had once been a waver in Georgia and was very familiar with responsibilities of the position.

Amy wasn't the most energetic waver I've seen or hired, and certainly wasn't the most acrobatic waver either. In fact, Amy probably wouldn't pass 99.9% of anyone's auditions or tryouts. I still hired Amy because she knew what the Lady Liberty symbol meant and was committed and dedicated to do as much as she could do when I needed her. Amy has some health issues and she needed a job; she also turned out to be my most dependable, reliable, and professional waver. If my clients say they saw Miss Liberty, it's because they saw Amy. Helping Amy is just another example of Liberty Tax Service giving something back to the community.

My office gets to touch the lives of many people in the communities where I live and serve. Amy's sense of purpose has touched the lives in my office and we're all the better for it.

Thank you for allowing me to share my story.

Sincerely yours,

Mark Meyers
