Fanatical at Liberty

Category: changing lives

Like all Liberty Tax Service franchisees we love to give back to our communities. Not everything we do can or is a huge thing. We know that even small efforts are worthwhile. As the time approached for the kids to head back to school we started thinking that we would like to do something to help students whose families were not able to afford to purchase part or all of their school supplies.

Hi, my name is Rena Lyons and I want to share my experiences with Liberty Tax and Roger and Susan Gingerich. But before I get ahead of myself, I think I need to start at the beginning as I share my life experiences. It may touch you and make you laugh, but I hope that you get out of this that no matter where you are in your life, you can always turn a negative into a positive.

Hi everyone! Just wanted to share the continuing story of our manager Tracy Ware from Port Huron. In December we gave Tracy a goal and told her if she met that goal, we would take her to convention with us. John heard about the challenge and sent Tracy a book to encourage her.

There are always tough moments in life in which you may not see any opportunities to help you achieve your dreams. I've always been a dreamer and always knew I wanted to be a Business Woman. While I was attending school I had part time jobs on pretty much any job that came along the way. Even after graduating from High School on 2013 I would work on full time jobs.

I had a former H&R Block client come into my office full of worry. He had not filed his taxes in two years, needed to get a FAFSA completed for his daughter to go to college and felt he had no where he could turn. His worry stemmed from H&R Block harassing him for non paid fees from financial products he had selected at the time of his tax preparation with Block in 2010 and 2011.

I'm not sure if it's too late to write about my story, but I feel compelled to share how incredible it is to be a part of the Liberty Tax Family since 2012. My name is Thomas Montalvo and I'm convinced our presence as a Liberty Tax Service Office here in Southern California is making a huge difference and lives throughout the community are being changed.

We have a homeless man that we call O.G. that comes to our office regularly to help put out signs, flags and our Liberty Tax tent. He is responsible for sweeping and hosing down the front and rear of the office. He comes to the office three to five times per week and he knows most of our employees by first name. We consider him a part of the Liberty family!

Community Incentive We have worked hard over the past tax season in the community we service. In March 2013, we invited the West Hempstead senior art class students to paint a mural of Lady Liberty in our office. We were able to have students, their families and school staff visit. In addition, we donated $1,000.00 to the the school's art program. On November 16th, 2013, our Liberty Tax Serv

Liberty is a great business, but it is also a family. I remember at a convention a few years ago when John Hewitt stated his three most important values: 1) God; 2) Family; and 3) Business. Those values, and their order, resonated with me. I have been an Area Developer since December of 2001 with Liberty Tax.

It was a very cold February night when a new customer walked in the door with his girlfriend. He had been unemployed for many months and just started a new job. The $50 cash in a flash brought him in the door. When I met with him and completed the return, the refund was very small and not enough to even cover the preparation fees. Since he just started a job and seemed fairly desperate, I told
