Fanatical at Liberty

Category: changing lives

So I don't really know how to start this, but I guess you could say I was never really a star student. My success didn't really start until later on in life. My family always did the best they could for me. My mother did have some mental & physical handicaps that made it difficult to grasp a normal routine of learning by example, but she loved me & always fraught to give it her all before her problems became too severe.

When I had my first interview at Liberty Corporate, I thought to myself, going back to corporate America? However, when I walked into the lobby of 1716 Corporate Landing, everyone that walked past was so nice, as they all greeted me. It actually felt like a small company with big ideas and a passion for what was being created inside of the walls of the building.

I am the manager at the Mebane, North Carolina office, and I am giving back to my community by volunteering to be a part of the MDA Lock-Up program. This year, a police officer will come to my office and "arrest" me and take me to jail to raise awareness on behalf of MDA. My office is participating in raising money for my "bail." The goal is $3,500.

Teaching stress. Not enough hours in the day. Too much paperwork as a special education teacher. Spring break was right around the corner and I still had my taxes to do over break. *big sigh*. I have a friend who has a Liberty franchise in Richmond, Indiana, who I met while volunteering with Blue Stars Drum and Bugle Corps where our sons march together.

We had a newly married customer who came in last year. We sat down with them and explained all the in's and out's of doing a tax return. Then we surprised them and did it for free. This year when they came in, they told us we really helped them a lot and thanked us for all our help. They discussed it and decided that they would come here for 5 years, no matter where they lived to "thank" us.

We have a client that is elderly and needed to get her taxes done. She called the office and one of my gals answered that call, Nicole. This client was very concerned about how she was going to get her tax return completed this year.

My journey with Liberty Tax began back in 2005 when I found myself relocated to a new state and a new town where I only knew one family. I had made the move under the impression that there was going to be a job for me in the Property Management Software industry that I had been working in for the past several years. To say that the job fell through after I made the move would be an understatemen

After finishing the opening checklist for the store early, I opened at 8:50 AM. Almost immediately, an elderly lady came in and told me that she needed to get her taxes done. Talking with her, I discovered that her husband had died in the middle of 2013. She claimed that her daughter had been trying to take what little money she had left and had been stealing her mail. As she talked, she kept a

It was January 3rd, 2009 and our second year to own a Liberty franchise. I was experiencing the typical frustration that so many franchisees face of finding and then keeping good wavers when two gentlemen came into the office in response to our "Get Paid to Wave" ad. As I interviewed them I realized they shared the same address. When I asked if they were roommates they told me they both lived i

I had been married for almost 13 years to a man that had taken all of my self esteem. He left me with two small children. I was just starting my business of being a nail tech. Which I did for over 20 years. I did meet a wonderful man, and married him and we had a beautiful baby. The longer I did nails the less I enjoyed it and really wanted a new direction in my life. So I started looking for othe
