Fanatical at Liberty

Category: customer service

I have always had bad luck with taxes and tax preparation. People have made mistakes doing my taxes costing me money. Things were a huge pain especially with me being disabled. My wife and I decided to try Liberty tax service after a really hugs screw up by someone. We figured it wouldn't hurt....maybe even our luck might change.

Smiles Tell the Story Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, known as the Grand Strand for its long stretch of coastline, is without a doubt, a tourist's town. With only about 30,000 “locals,” our city has a lot of amenities thanks to the hospitality industry, but is really just a small town at heart. Our office is located in an inland suburb of Myrtle Beach known as Carolina Forest.

This past tax season a couple walked in our office and they were drenched in sweat. We had already done their taxes and they were just waiting for their refund, in which case I knew something was wrong because I had spoken with the wife just the day before.

She came in flustered. She exclaimed that she needed a loan and that our competitor, whom she had been going to for ten years, no longer carried that product. She continued to explain that after an hour and half interview with the other tax company, it was revealed they would not be able to offer a Refund Anticipation Loan.

I was fortunate enough to be offered an opportunity to join the Liberty Tax team as a franchisee. Boy oh boy - has my life changed in the short 9 months since then! This life changing chain of events has me on my way to financial freedom, more time with my children, and, best of all, success and flexibility to live my life how I want it lived.

One of my first clients came to the office in early January. He supports his sister and her two children. He was eligible to claim the children on his tax return. We filed the return on a Friday. Three weeks later the client came in to check on his return. This time his head and face was bandaged up and he was walking with a cane.

My name is Hamida Chandrani and this is my first year being a franchisee. I have always worked for someone until now and I have always helped them to be more successful and to get closer to achieving their dreams. My husband, Nazim Chandrani, started sweeping and mopping floors at his uncle’s gas stations with minimum pay.

Karen Tolley is no stranger to helping the community of Dorchester County, part of the Eastern Shore, where she was born and raised. After graduating locally, she was asked to be Treasurer of her small township nineteen (19) years ago. That started a sincere interest in creating and passing policy for sound government.

As a tax preparer and being with the public has always been a pleasure for me. I take pride in helping clients with whatever issues dealing with their taxes that may come up. I have had my own business for 20 years and for the last two seasons I have been a part of the Liberty family. I am the kind of person that will fight for my clients, help them get the best return that I can get them.
