Fanatical at Liberty

Category: fanatical wavers

It was January 3rd, 2009 and our second year to own a Liberty franchise. I was experiencing the typical frustration that so many franchisees face of finding and then keeping good wavers when two gentlemen came into the office in response to our "Get Paid to Wave" ad. As I interviewed them I realized they shared the same address. When I asked if they were roommates they told me they both lived i

I have a young lady who works for me as a fanatical waver in my Bristol, RI office. Check out her Facebook post and I think you'll understand why I think she is employee # Awesome ! I just want to take a moment to share something very touching that happened to me today while I was working at Liberty Tax. A man parked his car, got out, and approached me. I said hello and he proceeded to tell me

Lisa is a waver at my store on N. Battlefield Blvd. in Chesapeake, VA. She brings the awesome every single day. In addition to creating her own props for her shifts, she paints her face, and has also started a blog about her experiences as a Liberty Tax waver. Check it out at I'd say she definitely qualifies as a fanatical waver!

I started off in Franchise Development. I felt God really blessed me with this job considering I lost one of two jobs I had been working, right before my wedding. With Liberty, I could build my family’s future in one place. One day, another employee approached me and asked me if I would “wave” outside the corporate office. I had no hesitations! I put the Liberty costume on and was actually a

I love working at Liberty Tax and I'm a 4th year waver. In 2011 I was unemployed and was looking for a job so I went to Liberty Tax in Waukegan, IL, I filled out an application, and I did a tryout and got the job just like that. I was so happy and excited to have something after being unemployed for a while. When I worked I would put on the Statue of Liberty costume and I would go out and dance an

One of our customers recently picked up their tax refund check and went to Wal-Mart to get their check cashed. The customer then called our office stating they could not get it cashed and Wal-Mart was having system difficulties. The customer called our office very upset because she just spent her last few dollars on cab fare getting to Wal-Mart with her family and they were stuck without any ca

We have the most valuable wavers! They are two brothers, John & Randy, that started with the company about 2009. They have been back every year since. Randy got his job back with Walmart, and uses his free time to continue waving for us. John, absolutely spoils us! He will make the coffee, if we were too busy, he vacuums without us asking, and takes out the trash. He even asks the customers if th

Kevin Wright loves to get his groove on the minute he puts on his Lady Liberty costume! He is from the great state of Hawaii, and he was raised mostly in Los Angeles, CA. Apart from waving for Liberty Tax in Colorado Springs – Austin Bluffs, he works as a conductor on the Cog Rail train that travels up to the summit of Pikes Peak, more than 14,000 feet high. Kevin has training in ballroom a

Three years ago, a young girl came into the office and applied for the waver position. That night, her mom called and asked to speak with the owner. When I told her I was the owner, she told me that her daughter had applied for the waver position that morning, and that she wanted me to know that she was deaf.
