Hawaii Income Tax Forms Rates & Services
The filing deadline for Hawaii tax returns is April 20th.
All residents of Hawaii are taxable on income from all sources, regardless of whether the source of the income is from Hawaii or another jurisdiction. If out-of-state income is taxable in another jurisdiction, a tax credit may be permitted.
Beginning January 1, 2007, Hawaii implemented a new ½% County Surcharge Tax. This new tax will affect fiscal year taxpayers by requiring two annual returns to be filed for the fiscal year ending 2007.
All fiscal year taxpayers must file the following Hawaiian taxes:
- A short year annual return (Form G-49, Rev. 2005) for the first part of their fiscal year through December 31, 2006;
- A second short year annual return (Form G-49, Rev. 2006) for the remainder of their fiscal year beginning January 1, 2007.
