presidential election and the contributions are still coming. Thus far, the
total spending for these elections has broken the record at over $1 billion,
according to the Center for Responsive Politics (CRP), a non-profit nonpartisan
group that tracks the contributions. According to the CRP, about 850,000 people
have contributed $200 or more. And that’s mostly from individuals.
