The Costliest Campaign Trail to Date

Liberty Tax Service's Infographic Breaks it down

(Virginia Beach, VA)  We are in the final hours of the 2012 presidential election and the contributions are still coming. Thus far, the total spending for these elections has broken the record at over $1 billion, according to the Center for Responsive Politics (CRP), a non-profit nonpartisan group that tracks the contributions. According to the CRP, about 850,000 people have contributed $200 or more. And that’s mostly from individuals.

The infographic created by Liberty Tax Service illuminates some interesting statistics about the record-breaking campaign and the contributions.
