Online Basic Income Tax Course

Still can’t find time to attend Liberty’s Tax School at your local office? This course is an alternative to our traditional classroom course. You can learn taxes while attending a live event or on your own time by watching a recording. It is offered over ten weeks, there are two, three hour sessions per week. This course is designed to teach the fundamentals of tax preparation. The live events will begin on August 29, 2011. These events are Monday and Wednesday evenings from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. EST. Replays will be available after each live event through July 1, 2012. The cost is $199.00 which cover the cost of associated materials for the tax course.

Online Oregon 80-Hour Basic Income Tax Course

This course will be coupled with our Basic Income Tax Course and Liberty’s Oregon Supplement Course, which is approved by the state. A certificate will be issued to students who successfully pass the course as well as to the State of Oregon Board of Tax Practitioners. The live events will begin on August 30, 2011. These events are Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. PST. Replays will be available after each live event through July 1, 2012. The cost is $249.00 which cover the cost of associated materials for the tax course.

Online California 60-Hour Qualifying Education Course

Liberty is approved to offer an Interactive Qualifying Education course. In addition to our Basic Income Tax Course taught during these 60 hours, we will be covering the required California tax laws. Students who successfully pass this course will be able to register with CTEC (California Tax Education Council). Passing the course means attending 60-hours of training and passing each exam with a 70% or above. The live events will begin on August 29, 2011. These events are Monday and Wednesday evenings from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. PST. Replays will be available after each live event through July 1, 2012. The cost is $249.00 which cover the cost of associated materials for the tax course.

Online Rapid Course

This accelerated course will be offered for someone who wants to learn the fundamentals of preparing a simple tax return. It is convenient for any person interested in something not too complicated, but gives you the knowledge of simple tax laws. This course will be available the end of December and you can learn at your own pace.

Liberty Tax Service has been approved by the California Tax Education Council to offer Liberty Tax School (CTEC Course #2097-QE-0001), which fulfills the 60-hour “Qualifying Education” requirement imposed by the State of California to become a tax preparer.
Liberty Tax Service is approved by the state of Oregon to offer an 80-hour Basic Income Tax Course, which students must successfully complete in addition to passing the Oregon Tax Board Examination to apply for a tax preparer’s license.
