Millions of people nationwide are in the final stages of putting together their tax information for 2013, but many maybe worried about the ways in which they will be able to reduce their liabilities. This certainly includes military families many, of whom may be living on relatively tight budgets, and could therefore use any tax break available to them. 

Many people recognize Memorial Day weekend as the beginning of summer, as the beaches are filled up with lawn chairs, coolers, and a constant mist of sunscreen. But as everyone celebrates the end of the school year and the start of summer, we should also remember the true meaning of Memorial Day – which is often forgotten and sometimes not even known. 

Don’t forget to thank an American hero on November 11th.  Whether you have plans to get involved with a military organization, visit a local veterans’ hospital or attend a parade, show respect and appreciation for the brave men and women who have protected our way of life.
I remember my college graduation like it was yesterday. Although I had to say goodbye to all of my friends, I knew that it was a huge stepping stone towards my future … and a taste of the real world. 
With tax season right around the corner, now is the time to pay heed to the many deductions and credits out there for the armed forces.  Being in both the tax industry and a highly dense military...
