I like to think that there are things that come into people's lives that make a difference- milestones that help you define a certain time or place when things either changed for the better or for the worse. My employment with Liberty Tax Service has been one of those life milestones.

I have a 5 year plan that I am currently working on. I am enrolling in school to become a certified nurse's assistant. After that I am going to continue my education until I become a physical therapist. I am pushing myself to do better every single day. It's often said~ if you're going to do something, do it to the best of your ability. I love to help people. It has never mattered to me what differences there are between others and myself; we are all a different age, different color, and all have different life circumstances. Regardless of differences, I feel responsible to bring a smile to the faces of people everywhere. I find happiness in that.

My goals don't end there. Someday it is my goal (and dream) to help the homeless. I do not understand what it means to be homeless. I understand that society can be harsh and see homeless people as people who are where they are because of their life choices. But there is a very old book that contains a very old verse, and it says, "Time and chance happens to all men." I want to make a difference in my life for those people who don't have someone else in their corner. It's hard for me to find the words to express all that is in my heart, but I have done the best I can. I feel like everything you do will eventually lead to making the world a better and more peaceful place- if you just keep working at it piece by piece, job by job, day by day.

The reason I feel that Liberty Tax Service has been a life milestone for me is because of the people that I work with. I enjoy my Liberty family. We joke, laugh, and enjoy ourselves sincerely. But we treat everybody with respect and we care about the things that are important to your office and to one another. Everyone brings something to the table- from our tax preparers, our wavers, our manager, to our call center guy. Everyone helps everyone else; everyone has something personal that they care about- something that they bring to work so that we can affect change together. Everyone has a great personality! I understand my Liberty family because I can identify with their dreams.

I will always come back to Liberty in whatever capacity I am needed. This is a place where I am accepted and cared about; I want that sincerity in my life because it will help me achieve my dreams.
