Liberty Tax Offers Free Tax Preparation for Nurses and Hospital Employees

(Virginia Beach, VA)  The end is in sight for taxpayers who faced filing delays due to the round of tax extenders and Tax Relief Act of 2010. The IRS is ready to start accepting those returns February 14. The delays affected those who itemize deductions and file Schedule A and these forms:

·         Form 8917 Tuition and Fees Deduction

·         Form 4684 Casualties and Thefts

Taxpayers will have a few extra days to file this year.  The filing deadline will be Monday, April 18, 2011 because the holiday, Emancipation Day is Friday, April 15.  This holiday is observed in the District of Columbia, so federal workers will be off that day.

“Liberty Tax will work diligently to incorporate every late-breaking change and IRS processing adjustment to streamline filing for our customers,” noted John Hewitt, CEO of Liberty Tax Service.  “We’ll offer extended hours as well for the rush of early filers.”
