Business Taxes

This webinar will give Tax Professionals an understanding of the different types of Business Entities and learn to prepare business tax returns for C Corporations, S Corporations, Partnerships and Limited Liability Companies.

The 2015 Business Tax Course is being offered as a recorded webinar.  The recordings will be  available for replay until 6/30/16.  Continuing Education Credits are available.

The Business Tax course will cover: 

            Preparing C Corps - Form 1120 and Schedules L, M-1 and M-2.

            Preparing S Corps - Form 1120S and Schedules L, M-1 and M-2.

            Preparing Partnerships - Form 1065 and Schedules K, K-1, L, M-1, M-2 and M-3.   

The cost is $299.00.  Each section qualifies for 9 Federal Tax CE credits and the entire course qualifies for up to 27 Federal Tax CE credits.  You will have to pass a test to earn the credits for each section.

Estates, Trusts and Gifts

This webinar will cover a basic understanding of estate, gift and fiduciary income taxes. Tax Professionals will learn about trusts, their filing requirements and how to complete an income tax return for a trust or decedent’s estate. Also covered are how to prepare a decedent’s final Form 1040 and the rules covering estates.

By the end of the course students will know how to prepare:

            Form 709, Gift Tax Returns. 

            Final Form 1040.

            Form 1041 return for an estate or trust. 

            Schedule K-1 for an estate or trust. 

The Online Estates, Trust & Gift Tax classes will be on 9/21, 9/22, 9/23 & 9/24 from 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm Eastern time.  Each session will be recorded and available for replay until 6/30/16.

The cost for the course is $299.00. This course qualifies for up to 12 Continuing education credits for all three sections.  If you watch the events live, you will need to answer a polling question each hour to earn the credits.  If you watch the replays, you will have to pass a test to earn the credits.

The cost for the course covers the book, access to the live webinars and the recordings.

Liberty Tax Service has been approved by the California Tax Education Council to offer Liberty Tax School (CTEC Course #2097-QE-0001), which fulfills the 60-hour "qualifying education" requirement imposed by the State of California to become a tax preparer. Licensed by Oregon Higher Education Coordinating Commission (OAR) 715-045-0033(6). Students must pass the Tax Preparer examination given by Oregon Board of Tax Practitioners before preparing tax returns for others.

In Maryland, additional instruction and requirements are necessary to prepare an individual for employment as a Registered Tax Return Preparer.

In Arkansas, Liberty Tax is licensed By the SBPCE State Board.

In Tennessee, students will be offered employment per satisfactory completion.

Credits earned at Liberty Tax Service, may not transfer to another educational institution. Credits earned at another educational institution may not be accepted by Liberty Tax Service. You should also contact any educational institutions that you may want to transfer credits earned at Liberty Tax Service, to determine if such institutions will accept credits earned at Liberty Tax Service prior to executing an enrollment contract or agreement. The ability to transfer credits from Liberty Tax Service to another educational institution may be very limited. Your credits may not transfer, and you may have to repeat courses previously taken at Liberty Tax Service if you enroll in another educational institution. You should never assume that credits will transfer to or from any educational institution. It is highly recommended and you are advised to make certain that you know the transfer of credit policy of Liberty Tax Service, and of any other educational institutions you may in the future want to transfer the credits earned at Liberty Tax Service, before you execute an enrollment contract or agreement.
