The IRS wants to make sure you get your Earned Income Tax Credit, if you deserve it. This year, the IRS is teaming up with community organizations across the country to talk about the benefit that is available to millions of workers who earned $52,427 or less in 2014.
Adult life on one's own comes with a massive amount of responsibilities, and those in their 20s and early 30s in particular may not be as prepared as they might think to tackle the coming tax filing season in a manner that is responsible and going to ensure that they're in the best possible position to avoid a massive bill. 
There are a significant number of tax breaks for which consumers of all different backgrounds may be eligible in any given year. Of course, the trick to people claiming them is knowing which apply to their unique circumstances, and doing a little brushing up ahead of the date by which documents can first be submitted at the end of January.
